This film is about a patient who had an acute heart attack. It shows the patient journey from when he was rushed to Norfolk and Norwich University hospital and it follows his specialist care. It showed the quick action the medical team had to undertake to stabilise the patient and unblock his artery to keep him alive. Dr. Chris Sawh, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Norfolk and Norwich University hospital, worked with renowned filmmaker Laurentiu Huianu to produce this film.
This is a new patient information film produced by Norfolk and Norwich University Foundation Trust Hospital that worked together with the Film Director Laurentiu Huianu. The film explains the patient's journey through the experience of having major spinal surgery for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Scoliosis is the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine and, in severe cases, major complex surgery is used to stablise the spine. As well as explaining what scoliosis is the film also discusses both the benefits and risks of its treatment and tries to portray the complex multidisciplinary treatment from a patient's perspective. NNUH is a recognised regional specialist centre for scoliosis with team that includes five deformity trained orthopaedic spinal surgeons.
